We would like to thank you for your Ownership at The Deerlick Astronomy Village, our warmest welcomes to you and your family. Whether you are just a beginner, learning your way around the night skies, or a seasoned professional, looking for a dark sky site to do some serious observing, the DAV is the perfect place for every astronomer.
Looking to buy and sell gear. We have a CLASSIFIED SECTION for members only.
There are a couple of combinations that you will need to gain access to the DAV owners area. The first one is to the front entrance gate (Stargate) which is now automated and it’s owner code is 7469 . When the gate codes are changed, we will update this page, as well as send out a note to the LOA GroupsIO list.
The next code is for contractors, 8501 should be used for any reoccurring contractor like the Post Office,FedEx, UPS, Amazon, Wilhoit Gas, Bug House etc. Many of these companies already have the code and we try to coordinate with them when it is changed.
The last code is 1805, this code gives guests access to the property. We try to change this code a few times a year, so check back here for the latest code.
The digital lock on the warmup door door uses 2715. Please make sure you lock the door by hitting the “Schlage” button if you are the last person leaving.
As a reminder, your ownership at DAV gives you access to Grier's Field, however we ask the if you are using the field for camping, using an RV on the field or setting up a telescope that you please pay a discounted nightly usage fee that Grier's Field Members pay. This includes if you have Guests on the property that are using the Field or it's facilities. The fee requirement also includes if you or your gust use the Showers(Other bathroom usage is free) on the field.
The current usage fees are required for camping/telescope setup/shower usage;
Individuals $5 per night
Family's $10 per night
30amp RV $15 per night
50amp RV $20 per night
