Deerlick Astronomy Village is hosting its first Radio Astronomy Star Party from October 17th to October 20th, 2024.
Deerlick is not only a dark sky site but also fairly radio-quiet, being a perfect location to get started with radio astronomy. Bring your portable radio astronomy antenna, whether it’s Radio Jove, SID, or 21cm. This will be a great time to get started with Radio Astronomy, as Jupiter will be higher in the sky, with Io showing some activity, making this an easy target.
We are excited to have John Cox give a presentation on Saturday afternoon. John is a very active member of the Radio Jove community.
